Powder Temperature Sensitivity

What is the issue with powder temperature sensitivity? Is it that the position of impact may be affected or the group size or both?

Temperature sensitive powder (like AA #5) will cause chamber pressures to increase as the ambient and cylinder temperature increases. If you are at or near the maximum charge weight this becomes a real problem...

Pete,

Primarily point of impact (high temps = higher velocity, low temps = lower velocity), although group size is also affected due to the velocity being different than it was during your load development.

Temperature sensitive powder (like AA #5)

Bushmaster makes a good point. Personally, I like AA # 5, but I do not shoot it at max, (well, one load I do) and all my loads with it were worked up in the Alabama heat.
