Powders for 175gr.Sierra matchkings

Was just wondering what powder is suited for best .308 175gr.matchkings,will be using remington brass and cci br primers.Thanks

Ive been shooting those for a while and like Varget, Ive also ran them through my Garand with IMR4895 with great results as well. Reloader 15 wouldnt be a bad choice either, thats my next powder to try when I get some time to do some testing.

RE15 works very well for me.

RE15 and Varget work great for me with my 175SMK, RE15 is better in both my R700 and my DPMS SASS

Re-15 works well for me with Sierra 175s...it is my preferred powder, but another powder that shoots just as well, meters better because it is spherical, and costs less is Accurate 2520.

If you're asking about loading that bullet in a .308 Winchester there are many good powders. 4895, IMR4064, IMR4007, Varget and BL-C(2) are all good powders in the .308 Winchester. There is also a new powder from Hodgdon, CFE 223 which is supposed to be good but I have bot tried it yet.

The .308 is a very easy round to load for. All of those listed already work well in it.

IMR4064 is the best in my 308. Followed closely by Varget.

Varget does a good job for me. IMR 4895 gives me pretty much the same accuracy, but with a lower velocity.
