U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell has submitted his resignation, a senior administration official tells CNN.
I must be nearly alone in not being too broken up about Powell leaving.

What conflict was the Powell Doctrine actually used in?
Gulf War I?
If it was used then, what was our exit strategy? To leave, let the problem fester for 10 yrs and try again?

I think he was wrong to advise the Bush Administration to try to go through the UN before we went into Iraq but hindsight is always 20/20.
He's a great speaker. He's dead honest. I hate to see people like that leave govenment. I think we will be seeing him again somewhere down the road.

since the leaders who would of taken over iraq were either going to be puppets of iran(shiites) or starting problems with turkey (the kurds).
bush 1 told iraqis to rebel against saddam and we would support them militarily but when we started seeing posters of khomeine from iran popping up all over we let saddam butcher them. yet another reason they hate us
and i only see one problem with rice that is the muslims may not respect her

Condi Rice Renamed
Energy giant Chevron Corp. has quietly renamed one of its big oil tankers.
The Condoleeza Rice, named after the former Chevron director and current National Security Adviser to President Bush, was renamed the Altair Voyager, the San Francisco Chronicle reported in May.
