Holy Cow! I was hoping to shoot there this weekend. I suspect that at best it'll be a bit ... muddy.

My company rents warehouse space in Chino Hills, just north of Prado. I had to go out there this morning to handle an E&O issue, so I tosed my shotgun in my truck thinking that a round of trap would be a fun lunchtime diversion. I couldn't believe my eyes. Prado is gone. I just hope that it comes back.

PS: I have been lurking here for a while, and only now registered, now that my trap range is under water. I sure hope that they can reopen.

drove by to take a look

this morning and it still looks exactly as in the photo. No signs of the water receeding at all. Euclid Ave was closed from the 71, so I assume the entire roadway is under water.

I just heard on the local news (Friday 8:30am) that the Army Corp of Engineers is worried about Prado Dam and the city evacuated 800 families that live down river.

They’re using Corona High School as an evacuation center. It sounds like it’s going to get worse before it gets better.

Prado Now Open

I went out to Prado late yesterday. I shot a round of trap. It looks like the club house is in bad shape, and they brought in another trailer to serve as a range house. The ground was very muddy, and I think that most of the throwers are still out of action. I was happy, though, to see that they are reopening.

Yikes! I didn't realize it was so bad! I hope they get a chance to rehab some & prep before the enxt rains just kill it!
