Preban Glock 21 mag

I went out with some buddies last weekend to shoot jack rabbits. I have 4 13 rd glock mags. 1 fell off the truck tail gate and got run over by one of the other trucks. The mag is kinda smashed near the floor plate. Also keep in mind I live in Cali. Is there any way I can buy a new mag body and spring to replace this broken one? What I'm getting at is, if I buy the mag body and spring to replace the broken one, will this be illegal since it is esssantially building a new high cap magazine. Thanks for any help.

Not an expert or Lawyer. But, my understanding is you can repair what you have.

Assuming the floor plate is damaged as well what would you re-use? The follower?
You could ask the PD but they'd probably say you are SOL.
How do they tell if a mag is preban? Most of the mags now don't have the annoying LE/Mil markings anymore.

Keep the broken one to prove the parts that certain parts of a pre-ban mag of yours needed replacing.

You can replace any part(s) of a mag in california. In this case, you need to repair the floor plate and the body. Keep the spring. Though, I assume you could replace that too if it broke.
