Precision Bullets???

Any opinions on these bullets? Was interested in the 125g 9mm and 230g 45 ACP. Can they be loaded with mild FMJ data? They advertize up to 2,000 FPS velocities with no leading or copper fouling. I would guess the only way to reach that velocity would be with FMJ data. Sure look different with that black coating though.

I have shot them in .40 & .45, and they shoot well. I have not shot them over 900 FPS in .40 & 800ish FPS in .45 though.

Lead data will get the .45's to 850 FPS.


Getting the 9MM's to 1150/1200 FPS with an appropriate powder would be easy enough without excess pressure. Hodgdons lead data will get you to 1150.

They are, at their heart, still a soft lead bullet with a lubricant coating (moly), so it doesn't take much to make them move down the barrel. So the low end would proabably fit the lead bullet loading data best. Since they are not supposed to deposit lead at high speed, they might use some of the jacketed loading data, but I doubt they use the full spectrum. You'd really need a chrono and some cartridge case inspection to tell.

I've shot them but do not have this data. I finally decided that plated and bulk jacketed gave me better results with less smoke and less trouble for about the same price.

If you are referring to Precision Delta, then yes, I have shot the 45 ACP 230 gr RN and the 9mm 147 gr RN bullets and have not complaints. I load the 9mm to 980 fps and the 45 ACP to 770 fps with no problems.
