Ok guys. So after missing a fox that was eyeballing my grandma's cats last night thanks to the 22 bullet striking a wire in the chain link fence I had to shoot through, I've been thinking. Predators are the one thing that isn't hunted into the dirt down here. Nearly no one does it and the coyote population is pretty thick most places. The problem is... I have no idea how to hunt a coyote. IV never done it and don't know anyone who does. I know I need calls and need to learn how to use them, but that's all I know. Can anyone give me some pointers as to where to start? What calls to use, what terrain and weather to look for, etc? Or better yet, anyone around here wanna take a 6 and a half foot tall man child hunting? Lol I know this is a very broad question but I need some direction here.

Crawler, if you want to try this, get yourself a hand call and a squeaker. Probably a cottontail in your neck of the woods. Be quiet moving to stands. Call off and on for 10-15 minutes. starting softly and then louder. Watch downwind. Sitting by an old fencerow or corner if there is farmland about. Don't try to call a coyote across an open field too far. Look without movement. repeat. Keep us posted and don't get discouraged.
