The Premier San Antonio Gun Show is this upcoming weekend, 8-9 December at the Freeman Coliseum Expo Hall, right next to the AT&T Center at 3201 East Houston Street (map)

This is the best show in the area, with over 1000 tables and vendors from all over Texas and beyond! :D

Hours are Saturday 9 am – 5 pm and Sunday 10 am – 4 pm, admission is $8 (cash only) but if you subscribe to their Facebook page they sometimes give out a "secret word" worth a dollar off admission! Or you can subscribe to their newsletter to receive a printable dollar off coupon.

Public parking is $5 per vehicle.

This is always a great show and the best opportunity to buy yourself those "special" Christmas presents that might now show up under the tree on their own!

We plan to go Saturday morning, and will be meeting up for breakfast at Teran's Mexican Restaurant (4403 East Houston St) at 8:00am that morning if anyone care's to join us. This is one of the best taquerias in San Antonio! I know that's a bold statement, so come out and see for yourself if you have any doubts! :neener:

We were there when the doors opened this morning, there was a line but it moved quickly. Once inside it appears there are even more vendors than usual.

Despite the election, availability and selection are still good and nowhere near the fiasco after the 2008 election. Prices have gone up but we saw some good deals so it you're looking for something in particular, it's worth checking around with the different sellers to find the best price.

Overall, it was the usual great show! I am very impressed at how well it is set up and run, the aisles are wide enough to get through although there will always be a few choke points when people stop for whatever reason. Still, it's much better than the other monthly gun show here in SA, where the rows are too tightly aligned and it is tough to move much less see what people have on their tables.

It's definitely worth the time and money to go to this show, even if you don't buy anything it is always fun to see what's available. Often I go without any intent on buying anything, only to discover something I didn't know I needed!
