Prettiest gun?

The prettiest ones I ever saw were the matching pair of gold Colt SAA's that my great uncle Al Bradlau got when he retired from Colt; when I saw them, it was in the early '60's. They were gorgeous, laying there in that blue felt... I couldn't touch them, I was just a child, and who knows what happened to them after he and Aunt Wilma both passed years and years ago...

The prettiest gun I've seen in front of me is my uncle's old stage-coach shotgun. It's a side-by-side 12-ga that was made over a century ago. Next time I see him, he's going to let me take some good pictures of it that I'll post on THR. It has some really intricate carvings and the metal is old and rainbowed -- very nice looking (and shoots pretty true, too!). You hold it and you can feel the history.

I think FALs look cool, too :)

The profile of an M1A/M14/M21 always does it for me. I think its a combo of the big box magazine, and long muzzle break.

Big Jake and I would get along well.

Rifle, M1, caliber .30

And for a pistol, I'd have to say the Beretta 92FS.

Winner: 1873 Colt peacemaker

Runner up: P08 Luger

Just beautiful machines, both of them. Of course, the Colt Python is not chopped liver either...

I've never owned one, but it's hard not to be beguiled by the sensuous curves of the elegant little Browning BPR-22 or BAR-22 rifles, with the gentle flare to the foreends and the organic inset in the butstock for the tubular magazine. The whole effect is somewhat lost when it's turned out with the rarer English-style straight stock, though-- it needs that undulating drop in the buttstock for the complete look.

Oh, my. Gettin' the vapors just thinking about it.

:D ;)

Usually the most expensive new one at my dealers when I've just stopped in for a few odds and ends!!:p (usually ends up being an expensive visit.

For me, it's hard to beat a wood stocked Weatherby MKV for looks.

My SIG TR-30 proto Apollo. It's the same as The Aurora TR-30. Mine has the most beautiful wood, and blue color case side plates. The lines and feel for me are just beautifully perfect. I did see and old engraved double Krieghoff at the Dulles show that made me weak.

The most beautiful revolver in the world!

The Hamilton Bowen copy of Elmer Keith's #5 single action. It is pictured on the cover of Bowen's book and it is simply the greatest revolver ever built. Period. Don't believe me? Take a look here:

Bowen #5

Ruger SA revolvers (especially my 6 1/2" single six), and Winchester or Marlin lever rifles ( not all of them, but many of them.)
winchester 94's are a good example as are Marlin 39's (newer ones nicer IMO).
After that there are ar-15's , 1911's, ect....... you should have known better to ask such as question. Too many to list.:D

Luger, Python, British "best" grade double, Pensylvania long rifle with curly maple stock, M29 6-1/2 blue with figured grips all come to mind. If I had to pick one only, it would be the Colt SAA.
