I found an albanian SKS with what looks like a spike bayonet. It was kinda beat up (shooters grade?). They were asking $189. Are these the SKS's that are pretty rare? I remember hearing that one country only imported a few and were now pretty expensive. I don't really need it, but if it's a great deal, I'd jump on it.

That's not a bad price. They were around $250 a couple years ago, then some cheaper ones came in and were going for around $150 at places like AIM. Most were pretty worn. Now they are all bought up and aren't so common anymore.

I think the rarity thing was played up too much, but it's true. There aren't that many in the U.S. when compared to other varients.

Not a bad price, and if you want it for an SKS collection go for it, but if you're looking for a shooter those Albanians are real hit and miss. It's a good day for me when I can get mine to hit in the same zip code and I know quite a few other people who have had the same results. Yugos are cheaper and seem to be a little better shooters.

Thanks. I think I'm gonna pass. I really don't care much for SKS's to begin with, and I already have an "Unissued" grade yugo. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing a deal of a lifetime or anything.
