Payed $389 new plus tax last year for my Puma 16" Saddle Ring Carbine. That was a decent price last year. Nice rifle, enjoy.

Under $400 would be OK. I had one years ago and foolishly sold it.
On my list to buy again should I find one. Avoid aluminum cassed ammo - it will bend and stick in the chamber.
Other than that I never had any problems with any .38 spl or .357 cartridge in that rifle, and it was smooth, handy and accurate.
I'm trying to remember why I sold it.
