Long story short one of my friends inherited an Interarms produced PPK S. It had been stored away in the original box with all of the paperwork that came with it, indicating that the original owner had bought it new in 1984. Before using it I took it apart and cleaned it for him, and it appears to have been lightly used if at all. After shooting it neither one of us liked the way the gun handled (Very snappy and uncomfortable to shoot) However it functioned flawlessly, but the new owner would like to sell it to trade up to something else more his speed.
We're going to a gun show this weekend and I'd like to have some idea as to what a fair offer is. I've perused Gun broker with mixed results. So what would a low round count 1983/1984 Interarms produced PPK S in .380 sell for now? Any ideas or approximations would be a great help, as i have a pretty wide range in mind. Thanks guys.

Is this a German made PPk/s, or US made? The german pistols are worth more probably get $500 for it

I assume it was U.S. made, it is stamped interarms, Alexandria, va. Would this be done to an import? I won't have the serial number on hand until tomorrow so I really can't go off of that.

Yes, but t will have a stamp; made in USA or made in Germany on the slide. Interarms sold both.

I love this little pistol and bought mine about the same time period. If I didn't already have one I'd buy it! I think you can count on it going for more than it's original selling price. These were primo pistols.

It was made in the USA. He ended up selling it today and taking $400, from the interest in it he probably could have gotten $450 if we felt like waiting around in front of the show, but he took the cash and put it towards a stainless XD, and was a happy camper. Just for the sake of knowing Myamoto, what would these have sold for around that time? I think my buddy said he found the original receipt in the box with it but I don't remember hearing a price.

Danb1215, I can't be sure my memory is accurate - if it ever was - but somewhere around a couple hundred dollars. I got two, one in .22LR (Manurhin) and a .308 (Interarms). Confusing the issue I think there may have been a trade involved. The shop owner was a friend of mine.
