Price check on a Sig p226

So I’m in the gun store the other day and notice they have a p226 and they want $749 or it. Is this a good price? Seems a little high to me but I don’t own any sigs. I have no idea what these things usually sell for.

I found out the other day that my 1911 is going to be in the shop for another 60 days and I’m kinda depressed about it. I figure buying another gun might make me fell better and I don’t have a 9 mm yet.

I priced one a few months back at $729 - they have gone up quite a bit. Just a few months prior to that I had a quote of $679.

i picked one up in used but great condition for $379. that seems a little high for a new one.

I ''splurged'' on my 226 ST when I got it a few months ago - it was <cough> - expensive!! How much? Not saying - but enough!

The special "Navy" edition P226 might be going for that much. You can tell these from the regular guns by the anchor engraved on the slide and the serial number starts with NSW. I wouldn't pay more than $550 + tax for a NIB plain jane P226.

CDNN has trade-in P226's for $365.
