would $450 shipped be too much for a Benchmade 42 in fantastic condition that did not come with a box or sheath, but that i knew for a fact was not a counterfeit?

it has been flipped and it has been sharpened once, but was done so correctly on a guided system. the knife has never been used to cut anything other than arm hair (for showing off the edge).

is that price too high? is it a great deal? or is it just Goldie Locks?

thanks, y'all :)

Are those really worth that much now? Back when I bought one and then sold it they were going for about $120. I'd be hard pressed to pay $450 for one.

yes, they really are going for that much. the release of the 62 might've knocked it off its little perch, but possibly not seeing as how the 51 didn't (btw - the 51 is a badass knife and my EDC, when i'm not totin a FB).

last i had check - $450 was about standard for a NIB with sheath and papers. i just need to know if the market has fluctuated at all recently.

so..... you guys that are up to the minute on bali values, please lemme know what it shoudl be right now (i know it changes, weekly). but yea, i know 450 is in the ballpark. crazy, ain't it :(

That seems too high for anything that isn't fondled, but not carried or sharpened and without a box.

I usually consider no box/papers as -10%, minus any accessories -10 to -20%, having been sharpened -10% if not mishandled. Any minor scuff another -10%.

This has no box or papers, no sheath and has been sharpened. Unless there aren't any NIBs out there on the aftermarket I'd consider that at least 20% too high.
