I have a 35-1 on hold and want to know what you folks think about $350 for a 90 to 95 %, It is a nice J frame in 22lr more commonly as a 22/32 kit gun with a 6" barrel. The bluing is not real bright but nice. Sn is 134xxx

You are probably paying about half of market value. Sounds like a great deal to me.

Hey Fess My Friend-

Looks like your 1953 .22/.32 "Kit Gun" with S/N 134XXX
was manufactuered between 1953 and 1969; as the
S/N range ran from 101-135465*. Most likely your gun
was made either in the fall of 1968, or the spring of 1969.
Congrat's on the find, as those things are as scarce as
hens teeth! Enjoy~

Also, it must be noted that several variations of frames
exist. First, the model 35 was built on the I-frame, then
the switch to the improved I-frame; and finally the use
of the J-frame was incorporated. I believe that yours
would be the J-frame model.

Values listed: VG 250, EXC 350, NIB 550

Approximate ship date: S/N 135464 sometime in 1969

Yes, but have you tried to buy a S&W on the open market for the values listed in the Standard Catalog or Blue Book? The last M35 I saw on gb or aa went for $750.
