My girlfriend is in the market for a .357 and we saw a bicentennial Police Service Six (blued) in a LGS for $350. This is the one with the fixed sights. Checked out nice and the bluing was in 95% shape. Original small grips that she likes for her little hands.. Really nice gun. I am thinking the price is spot on but looking for confirmation..

Buy it! I paid $400. for the exact same gun a year ago! They don't make them anymore and the prices are going up.It's a great revolver you won't regret it!

Buy it, as long as it checks out mechanically. Stoke it with .38 special, standard or + p's and let her have at it!! She has good taste in revolvers and it is a fine choice for her. $350 is a great price especially at a gun shop.

I prefer stainless, but if you like blued revolvers, it's a great price. Service-Six guns are great all-purpose revolvers and you can't go wrong with them. Just make sure to check the forcing cone, cylinder gap and the other stuff you check with revolvers. I've never had a bad Ruger, so I think she'll be okay. Just get her a Tyler T-Grip Adapter.

Look forward to the photos.

This!

I love mine, stainless, heavy barrel, 161 prefix serial #.....can't go wrong.

Nice weapon! Remind yourself not to p**s her off.

They are sweet guns, the factory grips fit nice for most women. I switch between my target and service grips quite often (for packing and the range).
Here is a link to the Ruger site for some clearance target grips. On sale for $10, got me a pair a few weeks ago and really like em. I don't think they will last much longer.
