I have two Colt Pythons that I am considering selling and possibly trading. Both guns were originally owned by my dad and have less than 500 rds through them. I am looking to get a ballpark idea of what they would be worth and I might even entertain offers, but I have two potential buyers already and would likely be selling/trading with them but I wouldn't hesitate to sell elsewhere if the price was right.

The first is a 4" bbl that has some minor
scratches as can be seen in the photos below.

The second is a 2.5" bbl and is in good
condition also. There is no scratching that
is easily visible. Serial #V13***

Around here, northern NY, a grand each would be a quick quick sale. Two inch barrels are worth a bit more. Find the original grips. It would seem to me that they would also bring more in CA, as, well, what do they still allow you to buy in California? I hear stories. We're not far behind, so don't feel bad.

You might try going to gunbroker.com, logging in as a member, and select the Completed Auctions listing for Colt Pythons. Might give you a better idea what similar Pythons have sold for recently. Hope this helps.

I wouldn't think so in that shape without the original grips, but who knows.

Check the search function here & on the sale forum. You could also check the auction sites for finished auctions of those weapons to see what they went for. I generally see them go for $1200 more or less and I think that the 2.5 in is more desirable. It may depend on your local market value? A couple members here have nice collections of Colts and provide lots of info. Good luck.

The lack of stock grips hurts each of them $200-$300. With that said, I would give no more than $900 for the 4" and $1k for the snub...Of course my prices are based on anywhere other than Cali. I would guess you will be able to fetch a good bit more there.
