Price of 1892 Winchester in 45 Colt Made in Japan

I bought a Miroku/Winchester 1873 chambered in 357 Magnum new in 2018 for $1100.

I'm sure inflation has pushed the price up a bit since then and a 45 Col rifle might be a bit more expensive.

I have a Miroku Citori and the Miroku Winchester and have been pleased with both. I shot the Citori in competitive skeet with sub gauges tubes in the 1990's and won Class D HOA once at the state championship with the gun.

Here's a nice one if you are insisting on .45 colt and Winchester roll marks,

Personally I'm more inclined to pursue the Browning version of a Miroku 1892, as they were made without the tang safety, and make mine a .44 mag please.

That one on Guns International was the one I was looking at. I want a lever gun and decided I like the action that Winchester uses in the 1892 over the Henry. Rossi uses the same type of action that a Winchester 1892 uses and is close to half the price. I'm not a gun collector so I don't know if I can justify the price difference.

I have 4 Rossi Mod 92s. They are good guns, and didn't break the bank when I bought them. They are well made, and shoot good. They have a good selection of models with different finishes, and BBl lengths, and calibers.
Plus You can save some dineros on them.

I'd be more likely to pay $600+/- for a Rossi than I would $1400 +/- for a Miroku Winchester. Both have a safety that I would want to remove. The Rossi's safety is easier to remove, from what I'm reading.
I don't see anything about a Miroku that is worth double or more what a Rossi goes for. I own 2 Miroku 1886's, a Winchester High Grade ELR, and a Browning SRC. The main reasons I went with used high condition Miroku's is that they were literally the cheapest option for an 1886 when I was purchasing, and the quality of build is second to none.
Crazy how much they want for an Italian replica 1886...over $2k MSRP. I paid less for the NIB High Grade than the cheapest Italian 1886 I could find.
The R92's are actually reasonable, they can be had for less than $700 new.
The only reason to favor a Miroku or Italian 1892 is because you want special features that aren't offered by Rossi, imo.
By all accounts the R92's are nicely made guns.

Those are my thoughts. Those are some of the same reasons I have a Tisas 1911 45 ACP instead of a Colt or Springfield.

I ended up buying a Rossi 92 from Sportsman Outdoor Superstore for $619 with free shipping. I just couldn't justify the difference in price for what I will use it for.
I’m with you… Looking at the Rossi 92 in .44 $619 and you don’t worry about scratching and scuffing. Wood Ready

I don’t like the Henry’s toggle action. We’ll see how it goes.

How about new for less than $1,100

How about new for less than $1,100

Too late

It’s odd that the description of the gun says it comes in two calibers, .357 and 44 mag, yet it’s advertised as being a 45 Colt.

Did they make the Winchester in .44? or just 45C & .357

I already have the Uberti .357 but always thought a nice 45C or .44 would be nice

Are you talking about historic or modern guns? I think 45 Colt came along very late in this history of Winchester lever guns of the 1800s. I'm no historian, but I believe the first center fire Winchester was a 44-40.
