I have posted a thread in the reloading section of the Trading post but have very little views. If posting a link here in the Reloaders forum is not OK, Mods please remove/delete it.

I just want to help out a few local reloaders get some decent prices on components as prices in this area of CA is pretty steep.

If your in the Inland Empire and wanting to buy some decent priced powder or primers and wanting to split shipping and Hazmat fees, now is the time. I'm looking at buying ~10k+ primers and/or 8-16lbs of powder. Not sure yet if it will be from Grafs, Powder Valley, or any other place. If you have a favorite vendor, I can look into ordering from them too. I have faxed my C&R to Graf's but haven't been authorized to see their dealer prices yet.

Just wondering if anybody in the area would like to get in on the shipping and Hazmat fee discount for when I order. I'll hold off for a week or two to see who wants in, and who is serious. I really don't want to foot the bill at first as I've been stuck with products with no use before, but I'm open to that possibility or any ideas.

I'm located by the 15/215 at Cal State San Berdoo, work in Rancho and can meet down in Riverside by the 91/215/60 interchange on my days off.

PM or reply here what your interested in. There usually is a limit to the weight of the final package so this might be limited to just a couple members. We'll see.

Thanks,
Justin

You might want to try over at calguns.net if you don't get enough interest here. They sometimes do group buys on components. Its also a good forum to belong to in general for California shooters.

You still pay the haz-mat at graf's and if you are ordering in bulk, I'm not sure they beat Powder Valley do they? I mean, even with shipping included in Graf's price are you sure it is cheaper? If you put together a big volume shipment, you should bargain with Powder Valley to see if they'll come down. 2 8# jugs of 231 saves you $40 and the shipping on them isn't that high. with 50k of primers, you save $40 over Graf's. That would be a small order, bigger orders would make a huge difference. for 4$ of 3N37 you save $12, 16# of it and there is $50.

If you really want to save, try ordering through a commercial reloader in your area. Piggy back on their order and negotiate with him. It is money in his pocket he won't get otherwise, let him know that. Offer to pay shipping, which for him is squat compared to the "retail" price (I've seen company shipping docs for 60# overnight for not much over $125 bucks). Go try and overnight 60 lbs for that price.

Must be too close to the holidays and tax time for most people. :)

2-8# of 231 =106.59 from Graf's with account
or From PV =104.95 from PV
50k WLP =979.99 Graf's
or from =1025.00 PV

Haz Mat fees are charged at both ends on small orders. From Graf's if we order more than 30lbs of primers, there is no hazmat fee. Over 50lbs of powder, no HM either. Cheap shipping from Graf's is just icing on the cake now.

Before I order, I'm also planning to get a quote from another place that requires a $50 membership to be bought, but give pretty good discounts and "$1 over cost" gun purchases.

My favorite little shop by me just closed down. I've had poor luck finding anything close, reasonably priced, or nice- or just two of the three. :(

I'm down with making the offer to a shop close if any local participant to the GB has a favorite spot.
