Primers in North Florida-Gainesville Area

I was in Harry Beckwith's Gunshop just north of Micanopy on 441 yesterday picking up a pound of powder I want to try. They had primers in all sizes. The price was kind of high $40/1000 but they at least had them. They had a limit of 2k. They actually had quite a good selection of powders again a little on the high side (paid $26 for a pound of Power Pistol). Just thought i would throw this out there incase anyone in this area is looking.

Living just south of Micanopy, you're correct - those prices ARE high...but supplies are getting around to normal on some things, so I'm content to wait a little longer.........

How's Harry?

Four years ago he was ailing, had dropped a lot of weight.

Hope he is OK.

Great gun store. Anything and everything has been in there.

Should have seen his collection of P08's. Incredible bunch of new condition and rare pistols. And Harry sold it all for the right price.

He died. Can't tell you when, but at least a couple of years ago.

No sure when he died. The store is actually owned by Pickett Weaponry in Newberry now, they just haven't changed the name. They have good stuff but are kind of proud of their stuff if you know what I mean.

Sad to hear that Harry has passed away. His store was always interesting to visit.
