I have a strange question. A couple of months ago I got some remington #5 1/2 primers. I thought that I could use these as small pistol primers. But now I see that they are listed as magnum primers. I have read that you can use these in 9mm. Is this correct?????? I am loading mb 115gr parabllum with 3.9 gr of titegroup.

They are not really "magnum" primers. They are primers for higher pressure applications. They are recommended for the 40 S&W over 1 1/2 primers as those could pierce with max loads. I have pierced 1 1/2's in the 9mm in top-end loads.

Go ahead and use them. You'll be fine.
