Not to take anything away from this tragedy but this got me thinking and I've done a little number crunching (I double-checked my math).

In the little over 24 hours since this shooting has happened:

OVER 100 PEOPLE HAVE DIED FROM MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS.

OVER 36 PEOPLE HAVE DIED FROM POISONING.

ABOUT 10 PEOPLE HAVE DIED BY DROWNING.

Great tragedy is happening out there, without guns. Our political leaders need to realize that gun regulation will never make us safe.

But I guess I'm preaching to the choir.

What's your point?

By that logic, since more people die in SUV rollovers every year than did on 9/11, that we should be changing the way we build cars rather than fighting back against terrorism.
