When I was going to UCLA I paid for two tickets to the banquet. I took my roommate and told him not to worry about the cost. We got to the door and I had already taken the parking thing off one of the tickets and I wanted the one with the parking thing still on it, so I gave it to him. Well last gun giveaway of the night, it is his number!!! He won a Remington 1100 12 gauge. That is just life and I said it is all his. He suddenly wanted to pay me for the dinner ticket. I told him no, just get into the CRPA. So he got to keep the shotgun. The last year I went I took my sister and so anything she was going to win would go to me. She was one number off of the Glock 36. That is a pretty fun banquet, but a little much for me to drive down and back in a night from Kern County. Plus I got married and bought a house!!! Nothing puts a strain on the firearms budget like that, well except kids. I don't know about that yet.
