Pro-gun prose from King's latest Dark Tower book

The only Stephen King books I've read are Dark Tower 1/2/3/4, although I have 5/6 waiting on my desk...

A classmate of mine was reading The Stand, but stopped about halfway through to read Song of Susannah.

The really neat thing, IMO, is that most of King's books take place in one of the Dark Tower universes, such as The Stand. King has said that it's all part of his "master plan".

Same thing with parts of "The Stand." One guy is walking through Gary, Indiana and doesnt want to stay there long because of a "dark evil" he felt.

Continuing in the vein of "Stephen King is not a gun nut":

Rolands revolvers use "45 Winchester" as stated in the second book... however, 45 Winchester is a rimless cartridge. Where does Roland keep getting his moon clips? :D

BTW, I finished Song of Susannah. I'm very much looking forward to the final book.

I have seen interviews with him and he is DEFINITELY an anti.

He may or may not be but a lot of his books/movies have a firearms theme similar to one of his earlier stories that became a film, Stand By Me. For those who don't remember that movie it ends when a pre-teenage boy uses a handgun he stole from his father to successfully resolve a life threatening situation against older boys. The boys' handling of the pistol was anything but politically correct.

Just curious... could someone post a reference for this business of Jake's gun being a semi? Neither I nor the friend who introduced me to the series have ever thought of Jake's gun as being anything but a revolver. I'm thinking we must have both missed it?
