trying to take the baseplate off a g26 magazine but i seem to be missing something

i push the little button in and back till it clicks, but cannot slide the baseplate off. basically it looks like there are two notches (part of the design)on either side of the magazine frame which prevent the baseplate from sliding off; ive never seen this on other magazines so i have no idea how your supposed to slide the baseplate off when there are two built in notches preventing it from sliding back.

anyone know how to do this??

Use an Allen wrench press the button in a substantial distance and pull the Allen Wrench forward at same time. Requires a great deal of forward force.

thanks guys, finally got it off. the plastic baseplate took a beating though, it really did seem like something was gonna break, but i got it switched......aaaaand it doesnt fit -they gave me the extenders for the wrong model. damn it all!!!

I used a set of vice grips on the magazine to depress the sides in until I could slide the base plate off- be warned, i did destroy one magazine in this process; I am not recommending it, just saying this is what worked for me...

Squeeze the sides of the mag with your hand next time -- worked fine for me. And to think I got the suggestion from THR... ;)
