Problem loading 11-87 police

I bought a Remington 11-87 Police and had a problem loading it twice. While putting a shell into the magazine it came back out and jammed itself under the load gate or whatever it is called. I had to take a knife and push it back into the magazine. I bought this for HD because my wife has short arms and can't cycle an 870 efficiently. Anybody have this problem? I saw an easy loader and was wondering if this would fix the issue. Also, all of the internal parts have been NP3 coated and maybe they put it back together wrong. Thanks

Either you have a broken feed latch that isn't holding the shell or you are not pushing it in far enough to catch - most likely. EZ loader won't help with either one of those issues.

I am pushing it in far enough. I can hear the "click" when I push the shells in and when I let go it slides back and gets jammed.

As Virginian said, you apparently have a broken or worn feed latch. Brownell's carries all sorts of 11-87 parts.
