Problem with 14 rd mags from CZ

I ordered two 14 rd magazines from CZ USA last week..

I recieved the mags the other day and one of them fit good
while the other one will not even fit inside of the grip when fully loaded..
Aslo it was extremely hard to load the 14th rd in the mag...

The mag looked like it had been used and abused...
It had nicks on the top of the plastic and the paint was warn off of it....

I thought I would get good new mags from the factory
At least ones that worked....

Does anyone know if this is usually CZs policy to sell used mags for $37 a piece? drf

These are the 14 round mags for the Compact/PCR/P-01, correct? Never used them myself as I'm not going to pony up $37 yet... Just wanting to clarify for future readers of the post.

Yes cratz these are the same mags.... Neither mag looks new like the 10 rounders that came with my P-01 when I bought it....

Especially the duller colored mag that dont work.....

I think its been through a few wars by the way it looks....

When I called CZ, the person on the phone just told me to send it back...

I said it looks like its a very used magazine and he just said again to send it back..

I don't post there, but tell us about the magazines. Should they be avoided?

I thought the large capacity mags were for 15 rounds, not 14?

Many manufacturers don't like to have negative info get out, and that forum is sponsored by the US CZ importer. Looks like they're supressing anything they don't want consumers to know!

I've been a member over there for a long time though I have relatively few posts. Good bunch of guys, and I have a strong interest in CZs, but most of my interest is more common gun posts and this forum covers it best.

The owner of the CZ Forum (as well as many of the moderators) posts here regularly as well. I've never found him to be easily offended as long as you conduct yourself with some modicum of decency which I believe you did.

As suggested, I'd check to make sure you are logged in... Maybe clear your cache and try again.

I'll join the chorus of 'you probably didn't get kicked off but just had a technical glitch'. I've posted over there a fair bit and never received the impression that the moderators were anything but fair-minded gun enthusiasts.

I've had mixed results with calling CZUSA... Sometimes very friendly, sometimes not so much but nothing extreme.

I'm just kind of wondering what you were expecting the person to say after he already said to send the mag back... Kinda sounds like the situation was already was on temporarily resolved... Further complaining was just sort of adding salt to a wound since he already acknowledged a problem on their part.

MIKE is often labeled as rude. He is the ONLY guy in the states
that is a CZ Armourer. This keeps him busy with fixing or improving guns
and he has to be there to accept calls for parts and service.

I find him to be direct and to the point, just like a busy Gunsmith should be
when there are too many call and not enough people there.

You should have NO problem in returning the defective mag.


BTW:
Are they marked LEO or GOV use Only?

GOOD OR BAD ABOUT CZs, IT WILL PROBABLY SHOW UP ON CZF.

CZ-USA doesn't sponsor us in any way. We exist to discuss and
promote CZs to the shooting community.

That CZUB and CZ-USA get more recognition and sales..means
that they like us.

Last year we became the Official Forum for CZ products.

I don't do forum stuff on the weekends..Fir and Sat sometimes Sun.

The other days of the week take up my CZ time.

Every time I toggle from one page to the next ( all day yesterday and today ), I get kicked out and must log in again. In other words - I can't even edit my own posts!

I go to CZF as a favorite in my Explorer Bar. I must login. I see all the 'stars' in the forums that have messages since the last time I visited. I click on a room . . . . . I must login again. I click on a topic and want to reply? . . . . You guessed it - It wants my login information
I can't even edit my own posts!


Needless to say . . . . I'm a little upset!

cratz, I was trying to get an explaination on why I would recieve a defective used magazine from a company like CZ. I thought maybe he would say "WOW" you recieved used defective magazines, I dont know how that happened but send it back and we will make it right...

I expected more from a big reputable company...


Maybe some fly by night internet site might try and sell used and abused magazines but not from the gun company itself

CZF, The 14 rd magazines I was sent from CZ do not have any markings on them at all....

They are both used but were cleaned of any fouling.......drf

Some people on CZF have been attacking Hakan by posts about him being Turkish..and alot of other garbage that they should keep shut up about.

As for Hakan Grips and his customer service..
No person or product is perfect. Sorry that your experience was so bad.

I understand and again, I appologize on behalf of CZUSA... But very often, it's human nature to NOT take responsibility for someone else's screw up.

I used to work at Hewlett Packard. If you received a computer that didn't work as expected and you happened to get me on the phone, I would have very cordially set up an RMA and got the ball rolling to make things right but I doubt I would have appologized for someone else screwing your computer up.

As for used mags in general from a manufacturer, if I paid $37 each for a couple of those 14 round mags, and I got mags that looked like they had been used beyond some sort of quality testing, I'd be pretty upset even if they worked perfectly.

Anyway, hope you get a new mag you're happy with.

If you want the damn grips in a weeks time - go order them from Hogue! They're cut by machine and always in stock! Although Hakan may be a small shop, it's not a run-down backyard shed. He's a craftsman who applies tried-and-true hands-on crafting. Fine hand-made quality takes time people.

OK all you knife fanatics - Can you get a special request Ron Leuschen Little Hen Knife in your greedy hands in under three weeks time? ( More like a loooong time on some orders )

Guitar players? How 'bout a Manzer acoustic? You're waiting at least 12 months.

And if you want the best looking friggin' grips to ever grace a CZ . . . . . You've gotta understand that there are others that want them too. Linda Manzer builds only a few guitars a year - so naturally the waiting list is long. Many Many people want Hakan grips ( and yes - I have TWO orders in with him ), but he is a stickler for detail and you've just got to wait. In the meantime, keep the damn stock CZ grips on and wait . . . . . . Otherwise you should have just ordered the regular Hogues.

And oh - thanks to some advice from a fellow CZF member ( OregonPCR ), my EZboard woes have been solved!

I think I just fixed mine.

As a desperate move, I went into tools and deleted all my cookies, and my history - then went back to CZForum and logged in again. I said yes to remembering my login info. My security settings are set at Medium.

So far it's now working fine. So, maybe its an issue with the cookie expiring? Or somehow getting corrupted...

Try it, it might work for you too!

I too have problems with logging in to CZ Forum sometimes and I'm sure it's a EZ Board problem.
