I picked up a box of once-fired .38 Special brass, mixed brass and nickel, mixed headstamp. As I resized them I noticed that with some of them (5% or so) the bottom of the primer would simply tear off, leaving part of the primer behind. I segregated these out.

When I went to check them out, they were all PMC, and all nickel.

Any known problem with these?

I don't know what that white junk is but it shore does stick the primers in there.....i got a skeet box full of PMC brass once and a bunch of them opened up like they'd been deprimed with a can opener.......i threw them away but my dad also got some of them and his did the same....He went one step further and took a drill bit the size of the primer pocket (Seems like the size was Fifty three Forteylevenths or something like that)...anyway i chucked a drill bit of the correct size and it knocked the remaining part right out>>>>>DICK

marvel mystrey oil loosens them up. you can just use a strong pick and pry them right out.
