Have any of you had experience with these bullets in the 357 Sig? They are a 124 Grain JHP. The problem that I am having with them is this, the base of the bullet is larger than the rest of the bellet. When I push them in the case to the proper depth they are loose and want to drop into the case. If I put enough crimp on them to haold it forces the shoulder back and bulges the case. Have any of you had this experience and what did you do about it?

The Golden Sabre hasn't worked for me in the 357 Sig, due to the problem you're encountering. Since the bullet is stepped, there isn't enough bearing surface for it to work in this caliber. It's an excellent 9mm and .38 Super bullet, but just isn't suited to the 357 Sig, due to the short neck of the case. You'll be better off trying either the Speer Gold Dot or the Hornady XTP. You'll need a bullet with a short ogive and long bearing surface.

One of my guns in 357 Sig prefers bullets of 115 grains for accuracy, and the other one prefers bullets weighing 124 grains. You'll have to find out which one your gun prefers.

Hope this helps.

NOW YOU TELL ME!

:( guess I should have asked for recomendations first instead of after I bought a thousand of these. Oh well, live and and learn screw up and become the senior Senator from Massachuesettes.

You can still sell them. Either here or on e-bay. If you offer to split the bullets into smaller lots, they'd probably be gone within a month at most. If they were 180 gr .40 cals, I'd buy 200 or so off you in a heartbeat.

GS in .357 Sig

124 Gr. GS works great in 9MM but will not in .357 Sig for reasons everyone said.

Ranier 124 Gr. FP and Sierra 125 Gr. JHP got great reviews at Midway.com.
I have no personal experience.

Reviews missing now on Sierra bullet, but the shape shows why it should work and I really did see the reviews. I had a .357 Sig and was researching, but never reloaded for it before I traded it.
