No idea about backorders, sorry. In fact, this is the first I've heard of the company, or the gun, but I gotta say, that is a pretty freakin sweet gun.I think one in .40s&W would be awesome (not sure if I'd go with the rifle with colapsing stock, and SBR it, or just get the pistol and avoid the $200 and SBR paperwork...).Of course, either way, I'd have to use it to get my first suppessor too,so thats like another grand...Thanks for probably costing me $3200+, you prick.
Well, if you look at their FAQ section, it says this:
"When will the MK5 be available?
The MK5 is currently undergoing laboratory and field testing under extremely rigorous conditions. The testing is scheduled to end in June 2008. Depending on the result of the testing, we anticipate releasing the product shortly afterward."
My advice would be not to send them any money until the product ships and had been reviewed by an independent source. This company sounds like the Special Weapons fiasco company that had a similar business plan in cloning H&K MP5s.
Quality, and actual tangable product varied at that company. Here is a very reasonable writeup:
I was reading elsewhere a while back, cannot recall where, people had sent deposits and the thing is now on backorder. I'm wondering if it still applies and how long it would be before I could get my own. Thanks for the review, but Im pretty sure they are unrelated.
Special Weapons and all the other names they had were all based out of Arizona, right? This company is based out of Oregon, you think that Bailey guy would move to Oregon and try yet another name? I don't think he would.
ETA: $2200 is a bit much for me. It better be an illegimate son of HK for that price. Granted I don't think I have much of a choice since nobody else seems to be making MP5 clones anymore.
