I haven't really bought something that needed a little TLC, bling magnification, or tactical encouragement in awhile. I'm still sort of doing what little I am able to with my DW 1911. Soon I'll work up the courage to break it down to its itty bitty parts numbering about the same as China's population after my recent success in breaking down my new 11-87 further than I've ever broken down a firearm. Wait, correction, the M44 was broken down slightly further sans manual. But I had a friend help with that.

Aside from minor tweakings of the 1911, I don't know what else I have to really work on that I can do myself. This may necessitate a new gun. Perish the thought. Here's some of what I have that I am interested in doing anything at all to and what its about. What else can/should I do to my meager collection:

1. Ruger GP-100, stainless, 4". Only change is addition of meprolights. This is my primary home/going into the woods piece.
2. S&W 686-5, stainless, 4". No changes. No real purpose for this.
3. Glock 19. Trijicons and plug. Primary carry.
4. Dan Wesson 1911. Stainless. Ed brown snake skin mainspring housing, Chip McC trigger and hammer, Wilson grip safety. One piece guide rod. Novaks. Sometimes carry this. Mostly barbeque gun.
5. Taurus 905. Stock. Pocket/ankle carry on occassion.
6. Kel-tec P32. Stock (is there anything you can actually do to these things?). Pocket carry.
7. Remington 11-87 Premier. 28" 12g. Errr...painted the front bead orange...does that count?

Anything else I have is staying as is. So, what can I do to any of these? And let's see your projects and hear about them. Maybe one of them will inspire me to spend like Imelda Marcos buying shoes.

Current project gun:

Bought a "Mauser" last week...

It's been trued, bolt modded, etc,. and has a heavy .22 PPC 0.075" short tight neck barrel screwed in, and in the "cruiser" stock, weighs in at about 20 pounds. Going to mount a 30mm scope, and have the chamber reworked to a standard .22 PPC set up for unturned brass. Gonna be a heck of a prairie dog bench gun.
