Some may remember a project S&W Highway Patrolman I had Customized.

Well, I am pleased to announce there is a sequel, and it is finished!
I purchased this S&W Highway Patrolman from a Sergeant I work with for $200.00. It had a 6" barrel that had a buldge in it, had some rust, and minor pitting.
Overall it was a good solid S&W revolver.
This is the way the Highway Patrolman looked originally. It's hard to tell from the photograph, the buldged barrel.
This has been a project, about 1.5 years in the making.
I purchased a 4" barrel. The Highway Patrolman was then taken to Mag-Na-Port for the project. http://www.magnaport.com/
Customizing the Highway Patrolman:
*Barrel was cut & crowned to 2.75"
*Front sight was re-installed
*Cylinder & Slide Extreme Duty rear sight installed http://www.cylinder-slide.com/index.php?app=ccp0&ns=prodshow&ref=CSM1368
*Grip frame was converted to a "round butt"
*Barrel & cylinder were sent to Bowen to be bored out to .44 Special http://www.bowenclassicarms.com/
*Custom Elk Horn grips by patrick Grashorn http://www.grashornsgunworks.com/
*Trigger job, and blue refinished.
Prior to being finished, Mag-Na-Port had me pick up the Highway Patrolman. I took it to the range, and fired it to make sure the sights were "regulated".
They were, it fired just fine.
