Promag flip up sight for gas block - polymer?

I just received a Promag PM238 front sight for gas blocks. To my surprise it's polymer. I've been told it's not a good idea to put a polymer/plastic front sight on a gas block. Any thoughts?

It's made by ProMag... 'nuff said.

I wouldn't use it if I were you.

I agree with TurtlePhish. I have not had anything work well from Promag. Absolute junk in my eyes and i have given them a lot of attempts.

Thank you both. As it turns out, today I tried out a new Promag magazine I had purchased for my AK. I couldn't get the darn thing into the receiver. So I guess both items are going back, and I've learned my lesson.
