(GUNWRAPS) Is there anything I need to be wary of or do any of you ladies and or gentlemen have any experience with protective gun wraps? I just applied some to a weatherby vanguard that I want to protect while hunting in these s Texas brush land elements. Thank u for any input.

I have never used that brand.
I have used bow hunters cammo tape on my Browning A5 for turkey hunting.

Only advice I have is, don't leave it on after hunting season.

Some adhesives will dry out over time and won't come off.

I also wonder if wrapping the barrel too will effect your accuracy?
Barrels don't like to be interfered with, as it changes the harmonics, and that changes the POI.

Don't believe I'd put any of that on any of my firearms, I like 'em the way they left the factory. I know what your thoughts are, protecting the barrel and furniture, not for me though, wildlife doesn't pay any attention to what type of rifle you've got! YMMV

Ive used the tape in the past but for camo concealment and not so much for protection. I noticed leaving that on too long will cause rust, so remove it when you are done hunting.

This stuff I'm using today is like a wrap bandage, non adhesive, but sticks to itself. It's re-useable too. I'm sure a hazard inherent with it is the same as the tape - retains moisture and can cause rust if left on.

I appreciate your comments and remarks.

I've got a sock.. Just green colored tho. Doesn't fit scoped rifles, but I use it as a dust protector for my lever guns when I carry them in atvs. Works well. Have to remove them to shoot tho.

I believe you are right, and I have removed the wrap.

Makes for a nice wrap to silent my flashlight's metal from dinging noise tho.
