Well after tossing it around a bit I decided to buy a 1911. I went to the store with every intention of buying a parkerized mil-spec springfield that was on sale for $399. Well there were a lot of optionf for a just a little more money. I almost bought a black stainless "loaded" SA 1911 but then a used stainless with Hogie grips caught my eye. Its needs a good cleaning but appears to be in great shape. Picutres will follow soon.

Hogie grips? Ham or salami?

Just kidding! Hogue grips, i and u are next to each, I do it too sometimes. Was the used one a Springfield model too? Have fun!

I bought the used springfiled. I had second thoughts about not buying the black stainless new springfield but it would have probably been another $120 with the difference in price, slaes tax, and the hogue (see i spelled it right that time) grips. $120 will buy a lot of ammo. Next up is a Rugger Mini-14. I lookedat one today but they wanted $579 for it and CDNN had it for $399 so that seems like a no brainer. These things are addictive.
