Did some horse trading yesterday, had an in-line 50cal muzzle loader that has done nothing but gather dust. Wound up with two 22 cal rifles that will see more use in one week than the 50cal would have seen in next 5yrs. One is what surprised me because I had no idea that China produced a 22cal rifle in the first place. It is magazine fed bolt action model JW15. The second is a Savage Model 63 that was produced from 63-69. The stock is a Manlicher, goes to the tip of barrel and looks great, single shot 22S, 22L, or 22LR. Think I have two new toys that will get used. Pictures are not best but I do what I can.

The Savage 63 brings back a lot of memories. One was my first rifle, and is the only rifle I have ever worn completely out. (Make sure the hammer strikes the firing pin in the middle of the hammer. The hammer wore out there...) Of course, it took about 20000 rounds to wear it out, but, I learned a lot about instinct shooting with it.

I thought you meant you traded a gun for some ammo. :D Seems the ammo is worth more than the guns these days

Those JW 15 rifles were pretty decent little guns that poured into the US during the early 90 till the Clinton Administration put an end to the Chinese imports. The Chinese also make a Browning SA-22-ATD 22 knockoff that was pretty good for the buck. Enjoy your new 22s.
