im looking for a sling for my psl-54, what are my options? saw one leather dragunov one but i read on a couple other forums that some guys put the green AK slings on them? where can i get one? what do you have? opinions?

thanks!

A guy at the range last weekend has his PSL there. It was sporting a Russian SKS sling and it did not look out of place on it.

it is already drilled for studs but the PO put the stud way rearward on the stock to adapt a bipod, which i dont mind, but ide think its too far towards the rear to use with a sling and i dont wanna have to carry the bipod on it when im just out walking my property, the rifle is heavy enough as it is! heres a pic of the mounting location

i kinda like the SKS/AK idea ill probably try that for $8 before i go buying an ancient cracked up leather surplus dragunov sling.

You can get a snap hook that will allow you to use a traditional sling with an AK rifle. Basically what it does is simply adapt the AK forward sling mount to a traditional style sling. They're frequently found at sewing supply places and such. You can find a HUGE selection here:

You'll notice one end is EXACTLY like a standard AK sling clip that is used by AK's, SKS's, and the PSL.
