The answer is a definite and resounding YES. At least from the majority on THR based on other threads on the subject.

I voted, I did the old cut and paste on the address.
Also had to allow doubleClick script run in order for my vote to be counted.

I've noticed that a lot of these "polls" will stop letting people vote if the poll goes the wrong way. Maybe too many people voted yes. And since when are paintball guns "high powered weapons"?

In my mind, if a kid is old enough to hunt with a real weapon, then they are old enough to play with a toy one. Paintball is immensely fun if done safely, and teaches useful real-world skills like athleticism, marksmanship, patience, perseverance - the list goes on.

I voted with no problem.

The article is about dropping the age for paintball from 16 to 12. But the poll is about allowing kids to "shoot rifles and play paintball." I wonder if the addition of rifles to the question is causing all the no votes.

Should primary school children be allowed to shoot rifles and play paintball?
Yes 43.57% (1335 votes)
No 56.43% (1729 votes)
Total votes: 3064
