Hi all,

I'm looking at CDNN's latest catalog and am tempted to order the Rossi Puma M92 in 357 Magnum (page 33). The problem is that it has a brass receiver and buttplate. How durable is that brass finish? I prefer the all-blued finish but haven't come across too many of these Rossi lever actions here.

Thanks for any input.

use to have one, its was a good rifle it had the saddle ring ,blued receiver and had the short barrel and the john wayne loop. traded it for one in 45 long colt, like it better

Thanks a lot. I'm still thinking about getting it. I like the fact that the Rossi doesn't have that safety feature. They seem like well built rifles.

Actually, the Rossi's DO have the safety on top of the bolt. THe Navy Arms and EMF versions (both built for them specially by Rossi) do not have the safety. I have a Rossi and had a gunsmith pull the saefty and replace it with a plug.
