Pump-action shotguns = assault weapons?

the old HR 1022 list and several others listed any shotgun with a detachable mag and/or could hold more than five rounds was an assault weapon. so anything like a Saiga-12 or any of the Remingtons or Mossbergs or whatever that held more than six rounds total were to be banned.
 
I tell you a secret. Maybe it works maybe it wont.

That 870 with the extension barely holds three inch black bear mag rounds. Five in total.

That should be sufficient to escape a ban now wont it? LOL.:neener:
 
Pump shotguns themselves should be safe from any forseeable ban--they are the definition of "in common use" (as the majority opinion in Heller put it), as well as having a definite "sporting use."

I can the the antis pushing for capacity restrictions, banning evil features (telescoping stocks, pistol grips), etc.
