I just purchased a NIB Nano on Monday. It was the version that comes with the Lasermax laser installed. It was on sale for $399, plus I went to the Beretta website and submitted my info for a free $50 coupon to use in their online store.

I removed the laser immediately because I don't care for them on carry guns, and listed it on eBay. So depending on what it sells for, I will have a new Nano for around $340 or so, plus a $50 coupon. Not a bad deal

Right away, I ordered a set of Trijicon night sights for it, as well as a FDE frame, 2 spare 6 round mags, and the Beretta branded IWB holster that they have for sale on their online store. I received the holster today and it looks great. It has a perforated leather backing that makes its breathable, and a little less rigid.

I am well aware of the issues people have had with lower powered 115gr ammunition. I have 500+ rounds of Herter's Select brass case 115gr made by Sellior&Bellot, and it has an advertised muzzle velocity of 1280fps. When I take my Nano out for the first time, I am going to see how it runs on this stuff. It should have plenty of power vs much of the cheaper target ammo running 1150fps. I also have several boxes of Federal 115gr +P+ 9BPLE. I am probably going to shoot 20 rounds of this max, just to see how it performs.

Lastly, for carry ammo I ordered up 100 rounds of Speer Gold Dot 124gr jhp. I am going to shoot this as well to make sure it is reliable. I don't mind if I get the occasional FTE at the range with 115gr ammo, but I won't chance it for self defense when I carry the Nano. I heeded the many warnings out there that say use 124gr for maximum reliability.

I took my new Nano to the range on Tuesday. I shot 100 rounds of Herter's Select brass cased 115gr fmj, 18 rounds of Federal 9BPLE +P+ 115gr jhp, and 30 rounds of Speer Gold Dot 124gr jhp. The gun was 100% reliable though all 148 rounds with the exception of one dud. I had one round of Herter's that must have had a bad primer.

What impressed me the most was that the Nano was really soft shooting for it's size. I shot 148 rounds and my hand didn't hate me afterwards.

I am going to shoot a few hundred more rounds through it and see how it does before carrying. It's off to a good start though.

So you actually have a new Nano for 350$ + :

I know, I know, you still got the gun on the cheap, Im just goofin around a little.

Same thing happens to me all the time.

I'm a M&P Shield guy, but that is a niiiice Nano. Could.....almost....be....tempted....

I'm also a big fan of the Speer GD 124s and the 147s.

Like your Micro too, if you don't mind me asking, because I'm trying to decide between those or Benchmade, where'd you buy and, ballpark, what did you pay, you don't have to tell me exactly.

Good shooting!

I purchased it online from Adams International Knife Works. I searched high and low for an Ultratech with the plain double edged blade and blacked out finish. They were the first company that had one in stock. I paid $268 shipped for it.

Nice! Sweet thing is that those sights are easy to install yourself with almost no tools, takes just a few minutes. I suppose I should have used Loc-Tite but mine have stayed put just fine.

Despite persistent rumors that the Nano doesn't like 115gr ammo mine doesn't care. I'm at around 2,000 rounds through mine with no failures of any kind. I've run steel, aluminum and brass from 100gr Pow'r'Ball to 147gr HST and it all works fine in my gun.

It is surprising how soft shooting the Nano is. With such a small gun you expect more of a beating but it's really mild.

Mine didn't seem to care either. It ran great with three different types of ammo.

Thanks! I've been on a FDE kick as of late, and now my Nano, Remington 870 Tactical, and my AR15 are FDE. I like the look of a firearm that is black and FDE. I think they look sharp.

I also purchased a Beretta PX4 INOX and a Ruger 10/22 50th anniversary design contest rifle that day at the range as well. I have wanted one of those since I laid eyes on it. Finally found one. The Mrs. just shook her head when I got home haha.

Yeah the FDE does a good job of breaking up the typical black on black look of most polymer framed guns.

Well all I can say is your wife is a very understanding person. If I brought that many guns home my wife would be asking me to turn over the rest of the money from that winning Lower all lottery ticket!

Haha. Trust me, I got the look, then the roll of the eyes and the shaking of the head. It made me laugh. She's understanding about it though, that firearms are my hobby. I just better bring them home one at a time from now on.:D

I think of it as like when you're gambling; when you're on a roll, you're on a roll.
