Picked up a new one this weekend. Put 50 rounds through it on Saturday and she's a shooter, that for sure. Wood grips are on order so I'll have to update once they're on. Most likely gonna keep an eye on the inside of my safe for me but it will get exercise throughout the year.

Congrats...Shoot it all you want. You ain't gonna hurt it. I shoot one or the other of mine weekly. I just ran 200 rounds thru my 6 incher a couple of days ago. I'd guess the pair have eaten 1k rounds this summer. With winter coming on, I'm gearing up to hit the loading hard. Yesterday, the mailman dropped off 1k JHP's. I'll probably order 1k or so Elmer K's from MBC this week, too.

What kind of wood grips did you get? I've never seen any that I was crazy about. It's too bad MK III grips don't fit properly. They sure look good from everywhere but the backstrap.

That is sweet!!!

God I wish Colt still made revolvers like these. I was lucky enough to find a early 70's vintage S&W N frame in 357 mag. that was still almost new. After I cleaned all the cloths lint out of the barrel and cyl it looked like it just came out of the box.

Revolvers like these are getting so hard to find in really good shape.

The gun was in really good condition, cleaned up great. I went with wood grips from Hogue. They got good reviews and looked the best from what the internet showed me. I need to finish off the back of the stock grip, doesn't meet up quite perfect and it has a little overmold.
