Texas... finally
I came across this one just about 2 months ago. I had to wait for permits (stupid NJ!!!) and as soon as they showed, I went and grabbed it.

1993 built standard Anaconda. 6" barrel. When I picked her up, she was rough. I spent some time cleaning her up and tightening the screws. Took her to the range the other evening and ran about 50 rounds of various handloads thru her. She is significantly more accurate than I am. With the 44spcl loads the recoil was beyond easy. I loaded up some 240gn and some 300gn big boy loads. They kinda made a mark but I'm glad that I didn't have a lighter gun. All in all, it's a great first .44.

Additionally, I got a deal that could have only been better if I had a mask on. I'm a really happy boy.

They're fine revolvers. I own one made in 1991, and its a far beefier revolver than my S&W Models 29 and 629. Haven't tried any of the "big boy" 300 grainers in it, but it chews up 240 grain loads very nicely. I'm not a huge fan of the standard Pachmayr grips, but I may just spring for a decent set of woodies.

Very nice piece you have there. Congratulations.

Welcome to the club my friend. The Anaconda's and the Pythons are excellent guns!
