Purchased Safariland for OC...anything comparable?
I've gone through a few different holsters in search of one that is comfortable to wear and has a quality retention mechanism for my XD45.
Wow....the Safariland is awesome! I love how it doesn't press up against my side, leaving space for my shirt to fall freely without looking all bunched up. I wore it all day yesterday, in and out of my pickup truck, shopping for school clothes for the kids, and even for 3 hours on the couch watching the ballgame. Did not bother me in the least. Just looking at it, it appears to be built like a brick ****house. I bought the level 2 retention, and am happy with that aspect as well.
Now for the $24 question.
My wife is quite proficient with my XD40SC. Safariland does not make this holster in SC length. She is more comfortable carrying the SC OC than the Smith 642 CC.
Is there any holster comparable that would fit my XD40SC ?
Currently it sits in an Uncle Mikes...because the Galco I purchased for it originally just doesn't release it without a slight struggle. I have used conditioner over and over and worked and worked this leather, but it just don't cut it.
