I would check the rifle over for Import Marks. The Ferro Machine & Foundry barrels were common on the Korean Imports of the 80's
I would say the story is BS.
Price is OK as long as it isnt Import Stamped and barrel gauges good

Yeah I would say now that the story's BS thank you guys alot I think I'll move forward with the purchase and maybe try and talk him down a bit. Also in response to "chris in va" that is exactly why I want the rifle I just love everything about it.
