Putting an Aimpoint onto a flat-top

Trying to figure out the best one to mount an Aimpoint ML3 onto a RRA flat top.

I'm thinking about this mount http://www.mountsplus.com/miva/merchant.mvc?page=MSP/PROD/arms/22M68

and the required spacer.

Any other advice? Is it just that simple or am I missing something? Other mounts you like?

I would use this:

Great quality, secure mounting, and you can remove it easily and use the irons if you wish. Also, the Larue can be adjusted for better fit if the rail on your flat top happens to be slightly out of spec.

I second Larue. I use the LT129. Awesome mount, rock solid and well made. The LT129 gets the Aimpoint a bit farther forward.

my dad has the arms' mount and it works great i love the fact that the throw levers are on there to take off and on. we have taken his aimpoint off his rifle and back on and it retains zero no problem. larue does make good stuff though, top quality, and will last you a good long time.

I have got an ARMS #22M68 on my backup carbine. I've had no trouble with it.

When it's time to replace it, I'll be buying LaRue. Quite simply LaRue is the standard that the others aspire to meet.

I use a LaRue for my Aimpoint and the LaRue BUIS as well.

You won't find any better.

I tried, but did not care for, the Aimpoint mount. I am now running the ARMS mount. It does everything that I need it to do, including readily cowitnessing with my BUIS via use of the half-height riser.

I have used them all and I cannot think of a better mount than the offerings from LaRue. Many companies that offer QD type mounts make the mistake of not making their product with an adjustable cam like LaRue does. If you take your optics on and off (3 gun matches, etc) the pad will eventually flatten out. The LaRue allows you to continue make the mount tight. Each mount comes with a small cam wrench.

I have beat the heck out of several ARs using an Aimpoint and a LaRue Cantilever mount and have had zero issues. The return to zero has been perfect.
