Px4 owners what are your pluses or minuses of the gun?

Sold my glock (g17) and thinking of it. I handled a compact and it seemed top heavy wanting to tip foward. Course thats without a full mag.

+Been reliable. Zero malfunctions.
+Fits my hand well.
+Soft shooter without much muzzle flip
+I like the look of the Inox version.
+Easy take down.
+I like da/sa with a decocker and safety for home defense.
+Quality magazines.
+Most importantly, I shoot it well.

-Safety/decocker switch is stiff on F model
-My DA trigger pull is a bit gritty but improving with use.

i like the Px4, like the ruger SR9 better though.. though i still prefer exposed hammers

Owner of a px4 9mm FS with over 2000 down the pipe.
Agreed with all of swordsmans points. My DA pull is much better now than before.

I'll agree with everything said so far. I have a PX4 Inox 9mm and an SR9 with stainless slide. Both are great guns. No complaints or problems with either, both soft shooting, accurate and so far 100% reliable.

I think The smiling swordsman nailed it. The only thing I would add is that they are very inexpensive for what you are getting. I have a PX4 in 9mm and am seriously thinking about getting another one in 45.

My two day old PX4SC in 40S&W has not been shot, but I have practiced with snap caps. Mine has a very nice trigger in DA now with no rounds through the chamber. I can only imagine how great it will be after 2 thousand rounds down the pipe.

My winter time carry has been the Sig Sauer P230 and my summer time carry has been the McCormick Comander. This year it may just be my Beretta Px4SC year round. I'm very happy with mine even though I have never fired it. The reviews on You Tube tell me I can expect the best.

I have the 9mm subcompact version as my "nightstand" gun. I spent the extra money on Beretta adjustable sights as I was consistently shooting low-and-left with the stock sights, although to be fair, I have a tough time with most factory sights due to vision issues. I have no idea how many rounds I've put through the PX4 in the two years I've had it, but it has been 100% reliable with every brand of ammo so far. Great ergonomics and easy to field strip.

The only thing *I* don't like through it is Sellier & Bellot and Herter's (made by S&B) 115gr FMJs, as accuracy is "consistently inconsistent" compared to anything else I've shot. I prefer 124gr in general, especially Fiocchi and American Eagle.

I am very happy with my Px4 .40 "F" version. The only 3 FTFs I have had were due to my crappy reloads. When I loaded them I had a feeling they wouldn't feed correctly so I do not attribute that to the gun. I have about 1200 rounds down the pipe and am very pleased with the reliability. This gun stays in the gunvault on my nightstand.

My only issue with the one I tried is that I do not like Berettas slide mounted decocker/safety (never have and never will). Other than that it's a fine handgun, though given a choice I'd prefer the all metal Cougar that preceded it.

I dont really mind it as one of my favorite hand guns is my 92a1...

I love mine in 9mm, a pleasure to shoot, nothing but reloads through it and no issues. Will eventually get the 40.

The PX4 Compact is a fine pistol and I have put exactly 1214 rounds through mine.

I've often said that my Beretta 92FS is like my wife: She's solid and reliable, and even though she's a bit on the heavy side, I still love her. My PX4 is my younger, sexier, high-maintenance mistress. She's fussy, but when she performs...WOW!

When I first bought the PX4 Compact I was getting failures to feed roughly every other round. Cycling the slide 1000 times and keeping the slide locked back while it was in the safe seemed to solve the problem, however, I'm used to shooting metal guns, so I'm willing to admit that my limp wrist may have contributed to the FTFs.

After the initial FTFs (which lasted about 200 rounds) gun seems to shoot well until I put a few hundred rounds in it, then I start to get those dreaded FTFs. If you clean your gun every time you use it, you won't have a problem.

My PX4 Compact seems to like being run wet. Keep the rotating barrel lubed.

Now for the good stuff:
The PX4 Compact recoils like a cream puff.
It's deadly accurate at self-defense range.
You get 15 rounds in a very small package.
Ergonomics are amazing.
The DA/SA trigger is a dream.

The PX4 Compact is the Goldielocks of guns. It's not too big. It's not too small. It conceals up well under a loose shirt, but shoots like a full-sized service pistol.

You live in a free state - I don't. If I were you (and you don't plan on carrying the gun), I would seriously consider the Full-Size PX4 which gives you up to 20 rounds (I'm limited to 15 in New Jersey) and has none of the teething problems that the Compact seems to have.

I own a PX4 in .45. Very accurate. Recoil is just a firm push. I did have one instance of trigger sting that never has repeated itself. Overall a great gun eats everything I put in it, runs dirty. I only wish .45 was cheaper.
