PX4 Storm ammo question

My son just purchased a brand new PX4 in 45 caliber. He is getting ready to start the ammo hunt and we were wondering if any of you have found a particular ammo that excels in this gun. He will need both a target and defensive ammo.

I appreciate the expertise found on here.

Mine is not picky. It seems to like Winchester white box 230 gr FMJ which is a walmart low price product. It also shoots Remington JHP equally well. I am surprised by how well this gun shoots and I have shot a large number of handguns.
