Found a used PX4 9mm sub-compact at a shop while browsing around today, felt good in the hands, but am wondering if there's any issues with them, I see they have mostly 5 star reviews on Buds' site, but also a few not so nice ones...

The one I'm looking at appears almost new, barely a mark on the barrel or feed ramp..

I have owned one for about a year. I am a big Beretta fan but I wouldn't buy it if I had it to do over again.

POI is consistently low with it. In reading reviews, this seems to be a common issue. I have had half a dozen very competent shooters give it the rounds to make sure it isn't just me. There is no elevation adjustment so, until I break down and replace the sights, it is a no go.

I also don't like the width that the double stack magazine adds. Having said that, one of the big reasons I bought it was that it had a 13 round capacity.

It certainly isn't all bad. I have yet to have a single FTF with it and I get good groups with it so I know it will be accurate when I fix the sight. Believe it or not, you can pocket carry it and it just plain looks cool.

My Px4 SC is my go to carry gun and has been flawless thru about 2K rounds now. Never missed a lick and I absolutely, hands down, would keep this as my one and only SD/concealed carry pistol if one was all I could have. I'm a Beretta lover anyway but this gun is tops for me.

I *did* have factory adjustable sights installed and had to have my gunsmith modify the firing pin block pin that rises up out of the top of the slide as it was impacting the new sight base. Mine did very much shoot low and left when using sights. I also added Talon grips as I find the gun somewhat slippy and it shifts in the grip. I also added snap grip extensions on all my mags.

I like my Storm SC better than anything I have for SD and concealed carry but right out of the box it may need a little mod to make the ergos perfect. Functionality wise it is just as good as my G26.

VooDoo

I fired one owned by a friend several times, a very pleasing gun to shoot but I was always low/left on the target and so was he, both of us were much more accurate with my G17.

With adjustable sights properly set to POI it would be a beauty.
