I have used Pyrodex RS and P for years.

What is the difference between The subs and Pyrodex?

Which is easier to clean up?
(when I shoot both pistols with 4 cylinders it takes me about 2 hours to clean up after using pyrodex. 30 min or so with a rifle)

How do the subs smoke compared to Pyrodex?
( I like the smoke and boom!)

Does anybody have an loading data for 158 lrnfp .357 Mag and .38 Spl, using Pyrodex or a sub, that they would be willing to share?

Does anybody have an loading data for 12 guage, using Pyrodex or a sub, that they would be willing to share?

Thanks for the help,
JR

I've used Triple 7 for about 6 months now. Lots of smoke. Big boom. Is NOT a volume to volume replacement for Pyrodex. It is a hotter propellant. My 1851 Navy loves it.

As for cleanup - it's the bomb. Hot water and a little Dawn. No tarry stuff stuck anywhere, just grey "fluff" that rinses right off. I love the stuff in my BP revolvers. I have no other experience with it in other firearms however.
